EDM Die-sinking and Wire-cutting
ED Die-sinking
In the area of EDM DIE-SINKING, which takes complete advantage of the unified electrode clamping system from the EROWA company, we use automated machines from the CHARMILLES TECHNOLOGIES company. The electrodes are chucked in the holder within a precisely defined position and co-ordinated from production to measurements up to direct use at the CNC DIE-SINKING machine. The accuracy of the EDM SINKED cavities is ensured using an optical measuring device and an EROWA touch probe.
EDM Wire-cutting
To cut accurate, through holes in cavities and outlines with complicated shapes we use EDM-wire cutting technology with high-cutting height in a vat of water (machines from the MITSUBISHI company). The advantage of this technology enables us also to utilize it when cutting annealed or hardened tool steel with high accuracy and a surface quality of a cut equal to grinding.
