Since 1990 the SKD Company has been concentrating on precision engineering and tool-
making production while specializing in the engineering and production of injection moulds and stamping tools especially for the automotive industry. Our firm has developed dynamically for the entire period of its existence and every year it invests considerable finances in the latest machines, technologies, personnel and company know-how. By the end of 2008 we had
135 employees and every year we produce approximately 110 injection moulds, which places us among the major tool-making shops throughout Europe. We have at our availability the top technical and technological equipment, a sound background, skilled personnel, high-quality know-how and sufficient experiences in deliveries to the automotive industry, in which we have been operating since 1992.
With the goal to diversify our services and to develop our operations within the industry we have opened our own plastic injection moulding shop and thus we are able to offer complete services from component design, to production of the mould, to deliveries of mouldings produced in serial production or entire sub-assemblies. The goal of our pressing shop is to focus on projects with smaller or medium sized quantities from the point of view of the produced parts as well.
Our process of development in the field of engineering moulds does not proceed separately from the customer. Thanks to active involvement in the final phase of your product development we are able to prepare a feasibility study as well as to identify potential problems in production of the mould or part as well.
For the modern and progressive company it is insufficient to only have the latest machinery available, it also needs first-rate human potential for enhancement of the corporate know-how and making the internal process in a better quality. That is why we also place emphasis on human resource management and education and cooperation with educational technical institutes on all levels, by means of which we think of our personneľs future.
However, the current demanding period requires our close attention and is aimed at cost reduction and optimization, flexibility towards your requirements and our increased ability to compete e.g. by means of our efforts toward the optimization of business, internal, production and logistics processes, to which we pay the appropriate attention, and manufacturing automation.
